Know of a scout looking for a project? Send them our way! Good Neighbor Center relies on the community to meet the many growing needs of the shelter and when scouts come to us needing a project to earn their Eagle award, we have plenty of ideas. With nine bedrooms serving an average of 90 families each year, there is plenty of wear and tear on our rooms. The carpet in the rooms has seen better days.
Scout, Jaron Homer, finished his Eagle project this last weekend. With the help of his family and fellow scouts, they thoroughly cleaned the room, painted the walls, installed new flooring and decorated the room with a relaxing beach theme. It turned out great! Just in time for a new family to move in.
Thank you Jaron, you did a terrific job!
