The shelter has 9 bedrooms to serve up to 9 families, with a total capacity of 36. Each family has a private room where they can keep their belongings and sleep.
Some Facts about the Good Neighbor Center:
- In the first year of shelter operation, 220 people were served,
and 95 of them were children under the age of 12
- All the meals have been generously provided by volunteers from
churches, businesses and the community, giving the shelter a value
of more than $80,000 each year
- Countless volunteers help the shelter staff as monitors and
hosts as well as providing meals
